Over the past week or so we have run a thread on our forum www.thebtbc.com asking you what fights you want to see to close the year out. Over 30 different fights were chosen and it goes to show the strength of boxing at the moment with the fact only three fights were in everyone’s list. Enough chit chat onto the fights.

10. Shane Mosley v Andre Berto

Some would see this as a symbolic passing of the torch, the biggest test of Berto’s career so far. Its a chance for Mosley to win another title at Welterweight. Most of us see this as a crossroads fight for both. If Mosley loses he is pretty much done, if Berto loses he can still come back, but it would take a hell of a long time

9. Amir Khan v Marcos Maidana

It seems as though the fans have decided its about time he backed his words up. Khan has continually called Maidana out yet the fight hasn’t happened. Khan continues to blame Maidana for not wanting the fight yet not one fan with any common sense will believe him.

8. Timothy Bradley v Devon Alexander

Simply this is a huge fight, it could do a massive gate in St Louis, and given the fact both are young American, and the number one and two in the division makes this one a no brainer. If built right this could be a huge fight in the USA

7. Yhonny Perez v Abner Mares II

After their fight of the year contender just a couple of months ago, we are desperate for a second session form these 2 warriors. After escaping with a disputed draw in their first fight could Perez win it this time or would Mares prove that last time out Perez needed a helping hand from the judges.

6. Paul Williams v Sergio Martinez II

Surely this fight makes too much sense to not be made. After their fight of the year contender last year in which both men hit the canvas, we demand they do it again and hopefully Martinez would get the nod so we can see it a third time.

5. Giovanni Segura v Ivan Calderon

Pure boxer v Pure Puncher what more can you ask for? Could Calderon’s wonderful yet slowly deteriorating defensive skills stand up to Segura’s two fisted bombs? Could Segura time or catch Calderon? There’s only one way to find out on August 27.

4. Juan Manuel Marquez/Juan Diaz v Michael Katsidis

This one has fight of the year nailed over it. Katsidis is now a much better boxer than he was when he previously fought Diaz and many believe both Marquez and Diaz are close to the end of the road as far as world class status goes. One thing is for certain Katsidis could force a corpse into a crowd pleasing brawl.

3. Juan Manuel Lopez v Yuriorkis Gamboa

These two young lions have conceivably been on a collision course for around 18 months now. Bob Arum believes he is building the fight, considering the fight is number three on our list for the love of god Bob make the fight before your building gets demolished.

2. Manny Pacquiao v Floyd Mayweather Jr

How shocking is the biggest fight on the planet on second on this list? Its simple were all fed up of hearing about the so called back and forth negotiations. We just want them in the ring so we can finally find out who the best in the world is.

1. Vitali/Wladimir Klitscho v David Haye

Two years ago Haye announced himself to the general public by claiming he was going to knock out both brothers in a single night. He wore the now infamous T Shirt . He became a champion and continued to bad mouth the Klitscho’s. The fans feel its time for Haye to put up or shut and give us the Heavyweight fight we have been waiting for since Vitali v Lewis.
