Like you said, it was obvious that Toney was ill-prepared for this...But even if he had worked like a madman and had dedicated himself 110% to learning the mma basics, it would not have been enough and the result would've been the same...Just as 9 months is nowhere near enough time to turn a novice fighter into a world class boxer, the same can be said for mma...And to begin that journey from novice to world class at 42 years of age is even more ridiculous...

I have to say that my disappointment lies with Toney. He got in the 'octagon' and proceeded to behave like a one legged man in an arse-kicking contest. That's because he was.

I'm not an particular mma fan but it was glaring obvious that Toney, on his back, neglected the basics of ground defense and got duly and aggressively molested. It was all rediculously easy for Couture, who could be forgiven for thinking that he had mounted an over-packed, trash talking heavy bag. he had.

If I've learned one thing from this whole sordid affair, it's that if every man has his price where the incorruptable man is most expensive, then Toney is cheap. He knew he represented boxing.
