That’s why a lot of boxers just aren’t bothered about boxing for belts anymore. They know it’s just all about making money for sanctioning bodies.

It costs a lot of money to hold belts. Every time you defend them, you’re giving away hundreds of thousands.

Ring did a good thing, in creating definitive respectable belts, based on no money.

However, they’re just so damn hard to get hold of if they are vacant.
