Jorge “Travieso” Arce (58-6-2, 45KOs) vacated his WBO Super Bantamweight Championship to face Angky “Time Bomb” Angkotta (25-5, 14KOs) and attempt to claim the vacant WBO Bantamweight title.  If successful, Arce will become the first Mexican fighter with titles in five different weight classes.

These fighters previously met in January 2010 in the super flyweight division.  Arce took a technical decision win in the seventh when Angkotta could not continue due to a cut over his right eye resulting from an accidental clash of heads.  The stoppage ended the fight early, but opinion is that Arce was on his way to a strongly conclusive win.

Indonesian fighter Angkotta has won four of his last five fights, the one loss being to Arce.  Most of his experience is in lighter weight classes but he is coming off a UD win in the bantamweight division.

The bout will take place in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico.
