Three-division former world champ, James Toney (74-7-3, 45 KOs) beat club fighter, Bobby Gunn (21-5-1, 18 KOs) by RTD 6 when Gunn’s corner stopped the contest prior to the sixth round due to a reported broken hand.
Toney, who lost a one-sided cruiserweight bout to Denis Lebedev last November, weighed 50 lbs. heavier for the Gunn bout, scaling in at 248 lbs. Gunn, a natural cruiserweight who hadn’t fought since getting stopped in four rounds by Tomasz Adamek in 2009, was fighting at a career-high 210 lbs.
