Today it was announced that 24-year-old super bantamweight and interim WBA titlist, Scott Quigg, has inked a new promotional deal with Matchroom Sport. The undefeated Quigg(25-0-1, 18 KO’s), was previously promoted by Hatton Promotions. Matchroom Sport’s Eddie Hearn wasted no time and has already scheduled Quigg to fight on June 29th on a card in Bolton, England, which is headlined by Gavin Rees Vs. Anthony Crolla.
Quigg will be fighting for the first time since last November when he avenged the sole blemish on his record(a Technical Draw in his first showdown) by stopping Rendall Munroe in six rounds of their rematch. Quigg will fight in a scheduled ten round event against an opponent to be determined.
