English men, Billy Joe and Martin have had to push forward their title bout. Af-ter Joe Saunders had an injury to his hands during a training, it felt natural that the fight be pushed forward.
The WBO middleweight title defence fight will now be held at O2 Arena, Lon-don on the 23rd of June. After it was moved from 14th of April. At the same venue.
The two English men had been hoping to build on their individual successes. With promoter, Frank Warren, having to apologise to every one that’s bought a ticket and looked forward to the 14th April event. Assuring that their tickets are still valid for the June event.
With 25 wins in a roll, Saunders takes on an older challenger, 35year old Mur-ray, looking to build on his number of wins and also defend his title. Saunders is 28, much younger and basking on his last bout where he defeated Canadian David Lemieux in December.
In other news, the bout between David Haye and Tony Bellew is building up the expected hype and drama.
Bellew won the first match in 2017. And this time, Haye’s talking tough; believ-ing that he wouldn’t let Bellew get the better of him. Haye believes that Bellew is a troubled character and knows how irritated he can be when confronted with Bellew. Haye looks forward to the Saturday, May 5th fight with enough confidence; and has promised to approach it with a “zen-like” mind-set.
The title rematch will hold at London’s O2 Arena. And it will be live on Skysports Box Office.
Haye believes that the timing is perfect for him. And has gone ahead with putting finishing touches to his training and preparation.
Haye believes that all went wrong for him on that day. And he spent too much energy being angry over Bellew’s antics.
