Late results from Monday’s action
In the Dominican Republic, two IBF world title bouts took place: Dahiana Santana (31-6, 14 KO’s) defeated Helen Joseph (11-2-1, 6 KO’s) over 10 rounds to retain the IBF featherweight title. Santana won the title just over a

year ago taking a ten round decision in a rematch with Stacey Reile. This was her third defense of the year. Helen Joseph is a former WIBF Intercontinental bantamweight title holder; this was her first try at a world belt.
Also on the card, IBF super bantamweight champion Katy Wilson Castillo (17-1, 10 KO’s) also had her third title defense of the year, stopping Maribel Santana (12-11-1, 5 KO’s) in the fourth round. This marks Santana’s seventh unsuccessful title attempt.
In Tokyo, Japan, Momo Koseki (14-2-1, 3 KO’s) defeated Saemi Hanagata (7-3-1, 3 KO’s) over 10 rounds to retain the WBC atom weight title. Koseki has held the title since 2008, and has made nine successful defenses, one being a technical draw in 2010.
