Mexican fighters Fernando Montiel (46-3-2, 36KOs) and Victor Terrazas (31-2-1, 18KOs) will meet in the ring Saturday, November 19th.
Montiel is ranked the 5th best bantamweight in the world by The Boxing Tribune and has won two of his last three fights. The two wins come by way of a KO over Alvaro Perez and referee stoppage over Nehomar Cermeno due to a body shot. The loss was against Nonito Donaire on February 19, 2011 and came by TKO 2. Montiel has moved up a weight class and is looking to fight junior featherweight titleholder Toshiaki Nishioka if he can win Saturday.
Terrazas is coming off six consecutive wins, five of those coming by way of TKO. He’s ranked 17th among junior featherweights by The Boxing Tribune, and his last loss was to Rendall Munroe, who is ranked 9th. His only other loss came in his professional boxing debut.
The fight will take place at Estadio Centenario in Los Mochis, Mexico at 10pm ET.
