Earlier this week in The Boxing Tribune’s Friday Night Fights preview, we incorrectly reported that the Oscar Rivas-Kendrick Releford fight was to be the co-featured bout of the evening. Promoter Groupe Yvon Michel has informed the Tribune that the co-feature will, in fact, involve light heavyweight prospect Eleider Alvarez (7-0, 5 KOs), of Montreal via Colombia, taking on Pittsburgh fighter Rayco Saunders (22-15-2, 9 KOs); the Rivas-Releford fight is scheduled to be fought off-air. Alvarez, in his last fight, scored a first-round KO over 21-3 Emiliano Cayetano for a minor WBO belt; Saunders has in the past year and a half lost to Edison Miranda and Ismayl Sillakh and is 2-3 in his last five fights.
