  In her first title defense, interim WBA super bantamweight champion Liliana Palmera (24-11-3, 15 KO’s) defeated former title holder Alys Sanchez (13-3-1, 4 KO’s) over 10 rounds at the Coliseo Mario de León in Cerete, Colombia. The WBC super bantamweight title was up grabs this weekend as reigning title holder Alicia Ashley (19-9-1, 1 KO) defended against Chanttall Martinez (18-6, 7 KO’s) at Arena Roberto Duran in Panama.
