In a near unanimous vote, the California State Athletic Commission has denied Antonio Margarito’s petition for reinstatement.
Citing an apparent lack of rehabilitation and a, still shaky, concept of the rules, the commission opted to put off possible reinstatement for at least another year.
During the hearing, Margarito essentially revealed two additional violations of commission rules by affirming that he was indeed sparring and that he had entered into a legal, professional agreement with new trainer, Robert Garcia, during his suspension.
