Citing a muscle injury in his abdomen, Heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko once again withdrew from a scheduled title defense against the UK’s Dereck Chisora. Klitschko and Chisora were also scheduled to fight in December, but had the bout canceled for the same reason.
However, this cancellation occurs just days after strong rumors surfaced suggesting that Klitschko and David Haye had finally settled their differences and were set to do battle July 2nd.
The Chisora cancellation clears that April 30th date and would allow Klitschko more time to prepare for the significantly more dangerous and lucrative Haye bout.
