In a division where Felix Sturm is already recognized as their world champ, the WBA has ordered a match between their “regular” middleweight champ, Gennady Golovkin (20-0, 17 KOs) and “Interim” champ, Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam (26-0, 17 KOs).
Golovkin is already scheduled to defend his belt against Kassim Ouma (27-7-1, 17 KOs) on June 17 and N’Dam last defended in April, against Giovanni Lorenzo (29-4, 21 KOs).
If both fighters respect the order, the unification will take place within 90 days of the Golovkin-Ouma contest.
