Former heavyweight title challenger Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson (24-1-1, 10 KOs) is hoping to bounce back to title contention with a win this Saturday over journeyman heavyweight boxer Stacey Frazier (14-6, 5 KOs). Johnson challenged Vitali Klitschko in 2009 for the WBC heavyweight title, but fell fall short in the effort losing almost every round of a unanimous decision. Since the loss, Johnson has won two in a row against less notable opponents Charles Davis and Julius Long.

Johnson was originally scheduled to appear in the U.K. last may in the Prizefighter International heavyweight tournament, which was eventually won by undefeated prospect Mike Perez, but was forced to pull out when he was allowed to exit the country due to alleged non-payment of child support.

Johnson’s opponent, Frazier, has lost his last 3 fights without going the distance in any of them.

The fight will take place at Elder Entertainment Center in Decatur, Georgia and is scheduled for 10 rounds.
