On Saturday night, Dominican-American super middleweight prospect Edwin Rodriguez will be in action in his adopted hometown of Worchester, Massachusetts. His opponent is fellow Massachusetts resident Chris Traietti, who currently fights out of Quincy.

Rodriguez (18-0-0, 13 KOs) has been moving slowly toward recognition in the talent-laden 168 pound division. His last outing was a decision win over Aaron Pryor Jr. on Friday Night Fights back in January.

Traietti (10-2-0, 6 KOs) will be playing the role of “opponent” and will be taking a massive step up in class, having never faced an opponent with more than 8 career wins.

The fight will take place at Worchester’s Mechanics Hall and is scheduled for 10 rounds.
