Nido Sport Center, Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico — Alfredo Angulo (20-1, 17 KOs), in his first bout in thirteen months, walked right through an overmatched Joseph Gomez (17-5-1, 8 KOs), ending the bout via TKO in the middle of the first round.

Accompanied by Hall of Fame trainer, Nacho Beristain, Angulo walked down Gomez and put the New Mexico native away with a left-right combination to the body and a glancing blow to the head as Gomez was on his way to the canvas.
