On the eve of Pacquiao-Marquez, Top Rank will host a boxing doubleheader featuring Diego Magdaleno and Mercito Gesta. The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas will host the event.
Diego Magdaleno (20-0, 7KOs) will make his third NABF Super Featherweight title defense against Emmanuel Lucero (26-7-1, 14KOs) in a contest scheduled for ten rounds.
Magdaleno is a southpaw fighter ranked 12th by The Boxing Tribune and is currently undefeated. He holds a two inch height and reach advantage as well as an eight year age advantage over his opponent. Magdaleno is seeking a championship bout in the future. A win over Lucero will do nothing for Magdaleno in that regards but is likely meant to keep him busy while he waits for an opportunity to fight on a bigger stage.
Mexican fighter Lucero is coming off a TKO loss against Yuandale Evans in which he saw the canvas a total of four times. Lucero has faced other notable opponents, including Daniel Ponce De Leon, Jorge Diaz and Rocky Juarez, all of which resulted in losses.

On September 17th of this year, Gesta came away with a UD win over Manuel Perez where he had to fight through a cut over his left eyebrow. Afterwards, Gesta took a week off to heal, then headed back to gym to prepare for this bout.
Dominguez is an orthodox fighter from Mexico. He has lost two of his last ten fights. Both losses came against titleholders, Humberto Soto and Miguel Vazquez, both of which he took the distance.
