Heavyweight, Kevin Johnson (26-1-1, 12 KOs) stopped Australia’s Alex Leapai (25-4-3, 20 KOs) in the ninth round of their scheduled twelve.

Gymnase Jean Richepin, Noisy-le-Grand, Seine-Saint-Denis, France–

France-based Cameroon heavyweight, Carlos Takam (25-1, 20 KOs) stopped aged former world title challenger, Frans Botha (48-7-3, 29 KOs) in the eleventh round of a scheduled twelve round contest.

Hamilton Manor, Hamilton Township, New Jersey–

Jameel McCline (41-11-3, 24 KOs) continued his comeback, scoring an eight round split decision over Ecuador’s Livin Castillo (16-12, 10 KOs). Judges’ scores were: 77-74, 77-74, and 76-75.

Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan–

Japan’s Kohei Kono (26-7, 10 KOs) scored a TKO 5 against overmatched and under-experienced Yusaku Ishikawa (3-3) in a bout contested three-quarters of a pound above the super flyweight limit.

Sumiyoshi Ward Center, Osaka, Osaka, Japan–

Former world titlist super flyweight, Nobuo Nashiro (17-4-1, 11 KOs) took six rounds before knocking out unfortunate Thai, in only his second pro fight, Petchkrapee Sithsaithong (0-2). The bout was contested at the bantamweight limit.
