Haye(L), Charr(R) postponed as Haye suffers hand injury.

As previously reported here on TheBoxingTribune.com, a heavyweight clash between David “Hayemaker” Haye versus Manuel Charr, which was scheduled to take place June 29th at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Today, Haye announced today that he injured his left hand on Sunday, forcing him to pull out of the fight.  He also stated that he’s carried injuries with him into fights before and avoided withdrawing from them, but the injury he suffered on Sunday was too bad not to pull out of the fight against Charr.  Haye also stated that he would need at least four weeks of resting and recovery period for his injured hand.

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sports, the promoter of the fight, said that the fight will be postponed for a later date, but that the undercard would move forward – at a different venue.  We’ll keep you posted when a new date is confirmed for Haye Vs. Charr.
