WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns (36-2-1, 11 KO’s) is ready for a “cracking and very hard fight” when he faces American Terrance Crawford (22-0, 16 KO’s) Saturday night in Glasgow, Scotland. After suffering a ricky burnsbroken jaw against Raymundo Beltran last September, the 30 year old feels his injury will have no effect on the bout. “My jaw’s been holding up as well. I’ve taken a few knocks and it seems to be holding up” he told BBC.com. Promoter Eddie Hearn thinks this fight will be Crawford’s first real test, but Burns is ready for the unbeaten American, “Technically, he’s very good. The training’s gone well and, fingers crossed, I’m prepared for what ever’s coming my way on Saturday”.
