A pair of NABF title bouts will be showcased on this Saturday’s NBC Fight Night program, broadcast live from Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut, USA.

In the headlining contest, NABF cruiserweight champ Thabiso Mchunu (16-1, 11 KO’s) puts his title up against Garrett Wilson (13-7-1, 7 KO’s) in a scheduled 10 round bout. Originally from South Africa, Mchunu brought his career the U.S. in 2013, defeating former world heavyweight title challenger Eddie Chambers by a comfortable margin over 10 rounds. He followed up in January with a title winning decision over Olanrewaju Durodola, the bout being showcased on NBC.

Garrett Wilson is a former holder of the NABF title as well as a USBA champ and has also been seen on NBC; last November he fell victim to Vyacheslav Glazkov, dropping a 10 round decision. Prior to that bout he had lost a 12 round decision to Alexander Alekseev in Romania.

Also on the card is undefeated Karl Dargan (16-0, 8 KO’s), a former UBO lightweight title holder and current USBA Atlantic Coast Region lightweight champion, facing Angino Perez (17-5, 15 KO’s) for the vacant NABF junior lightweight title. Dargan is also an NBC fighter, having fought on both televised and non-televised contests on the Fight Night cards. He fought Anthony Flores in June, stopping him in five rounds to win the USBA belt.

Angino Perez has made a career of facing inexperienced or lower tier opponents. He comes in off two knockout wins over opponents with 0-10 and 0-9 records.
