Muhammad Ali, 72, has been hospitalized with a case of what is being called “mild” pneumonia, with ESPN reporting that “the prognosis is good,” and that his stay in the hospital is expected to be short. Here’s a statement from Ali’s family spokesman, by way of Dan Rafael of ESPN.com:
‘Muhammad Ali, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, is being treated by his team of doctors and is in stable condition. He was admitted earlier this morning and because the pneumonia was caught early, his prognosis is good with a short hospital stay expected.’
Let’s hope he goes home soon.
