WBC heavyweight champion, Vitali Klitschko (41-2, 38 KOs), will make the sixth defense of the belt he took from Samuel Peter in 2008 against Cuban Olympic gold medalist, Odlanier Solis (17-0, 12 KOs) in Cologne, Germany on March 19th.
Klitschko’s last bout was a one-sided beating of former champ, Shannon Briggs, in October of 2010 while Solis is coming off a December DQ 10 win against Ray Austin in a WBC eliminator.
Solis is looking to be the first Cuban to ever hold a world title in the heavyweight division.
