Long-time WBA featherweight champ, Indonesia’s Chris John (44-0-2, 22 KOs) has signed to make the 14th defense of the title he won in 2003. The 126 lb. titlist will take on countryman, Daud Yordan (27-1, 21 KOs), April 17th at the Jakarta International Expo in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Yordan is best known for abbreviated battle with Robert Guerrero in 2009 and his 2010, one-sided decision loss to Celestino Caballero. His most recent bout was a first-round TKO over Damian David Marchiano in December.
John, 31, has struggled with inactivity due to injury, fighting only once in 2010, a unanimous decision over Fernando David Saucedo on the same card as Yordan-Marchiano.
