Argentina’s WBO super flyweight champ, Omar Narvaez (32-0-2, 19 KOs), is set to make the first defense of his 115 lb. title this Saturday in Buenos Aires against Mexico’s Victor Zaleta (17-1, 9 KOs).
Narvaez, a long-time flyweight champ who had nine successful defenses at 112 lbs. before moving up in weight, has beaten top fighters such as Luis Lazarte, Bernard Inom, Carlos Tamara, Rayonta Whitfield, and Brahim Asloum in his ten-year career.
Zaleta, on the other hand, has yet to fight above the regional/national level in Mexico.
