Two-time world cruiserweight champ and current WBC titlist, Poland’s Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (44-2-1, 32 KOs) is set to defend his title at home against undefeated Puerto Rican contender, Francisco Palacios (20-0, 13 KOs), on April 2nd.
Wlodarczyk, ranked 4th by The Boxing Tribune, will be making the second defense of the title he acquired by beating Giacobbe Fragomeni for the vacant belt earlier last year. Aside from the win over Fragomeni, Wlodarczyk is also known for splitting two bouts with American Steve Cunningham and beating New Jersey’s Imamu Mayfield.
Palacios is ranked 17th in The Boxing Tribune’s cruiserweight rankings, but has yet to beat a ranked fellow contender.
