Sky Sports in the UK is reporting that top UK heavyweight prospect, Tyson Fury (14-0, 10 KOs), will be taking an enormous step up in class by facing former heavyweight champ, Hasim Rahman (49-7-2, 40 KOs) on the Amir Khan-Paul McCloskey undercard at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, Lancashire UK April 16th.

Fury’s previous toughest opponent was John McDermott, a regional-level opponent, with little experience outside of the UK.

In the 38-year old Rahman, Fury would be facing someone who has been in the ring with the likes of Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, David Tua, John Ruiz, and James Toney.

The 6 ft 9 Fury, who has worked with legendary trainer, Emanuel Steward, recently, would be on the fast track to world title contention with a win over Rahman.
