Former long-reigning jr. flyweight champ, Edgar Sosa (42-6, 25 KOs) will be taking on Julio Paz (12-1, 4 KOs) at the Plaza De Toros El Paseo in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Saturday night.
The flyweight bout, scheduled to be twelve rounds for a marginal WBC flyweight title, is expected to be the lead-in to a shot at Pongsaklek Wonjongkam’s WBC world flyweight belt.
In Sosa’s last bout, he stopped an overmatched Kenichi Horikawa in eight rounds.
This will be the first time Uruguay’s Paz fights outside of his home country.
