WBO cruiserweight champ, Marco Huck (32-1, 23 KOs), looks to make the seventh defense of his title against Argentina’s Hugo Garay (34-5, 18 KOs) this Saturday at the Olympia-Eissportzentrum in Munich, Germany.

Huck, a Serbia-born German resident, won the crown back in 2009 against another Argentine, Victor Emilio Ramirez. Since then, he has defended the title six times, with defenses against Ola Afolabi, Matt Godfrey, and Denis Lebedev standing out from the others.

Garay is a former light heavyweight titlist with a 2-2 record in his last four, losing a majority decision (and the WBA 175 lb. belt) to Gabriel Campillo in 2009 and suffering a TKO 1 blow-out to Chris Henry nine months later. Garay is 2-0 in his last two contests against club-level cruiserweight competition. The native of Buenos Aires also dropped a pair of close decisions to Zsolt Erdei in 2004 and 2005.

The Huck-Garay undercard will also feature new European light heavyweight champion, Eduard Gutknecht (21-1, 9 KOs), making the first defense of the title he took from the UK’s Danny McIntosh in May.
