Seth “Mayhem” Mitchell (23-0-1, 17KOs) will meet Timur Ibragimov (30-3-1, 16KOs) in a heavyweight co-featured bout to Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson this Saturday, December 10th.

In a division that at times lacks excitement, Mitchell is an exciting prospect fight fans are interested in seeing.  After several knee injuries ended his football career at Michigan State University, Mitchell graduated and then took up boxing in 2006.  Since 2010, Mitchell has fought eight times and won every bout by knockout.  His HBO debut Saturday will be an important test for Mitchell as he faces an experienced fighter on a big stage.

Ibragimov has won nine of his last ten bouts, three of those by knockout.  He is coming off a SD loss to Jean-Marc Mormeck.  His other two losses on record come against Tony Thompson and Calvin Brock.  Ibragimov knows that to face elite competition, a win Saturday is imperative.

The bout will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. and will be televised live on HBO’s World Championship Boxing.  The telecast will begin at 9:45pm ET.
