Mexican fighter Adrian Hernandez (22-1-1, 14KOs) will defend his title against Kompayak Porpramook (43-3, 29KOs) this Friday, December 23rd in Bangkok, Thailand.
At 25 years old, Hernandez will be making his second title defense against a veteran fighter. He became the WBC Junior Flyweight titleholder in April 2011 when he defeated Gilberto Keb Baas. He is ranked 3rd in the world among junior flyweights.
At just four years older, Porpramook has nearly double the wins on his record. His record in 2011 stands at 6-0, with four of those coming by TKO. Unfortunately, his competition in the ring has been less than stellar. He’s currently ranked 19th in the world among junior flyweights, and a win Friday would move him up the list of contenders.
This card will also feature Pongsaklek Wonjongkam vs. Hirofumi Mukai in a WBC flyweight title bout.
