Some significant changes in this week’s rankings:
In the middleweight division, Daniel Geale adds the WBA title to his IBF strap with his split decision victory over Felix Sturm on Saturday. With the win, he moves up from #4 to #3 while Sturm falls to #4 from #3.
Also at middleweight, Gennady Golovkin moves up to #6 from #8 after his TKO 5 win over Grzegorz Proksa.
In a major upset, Mario Rodriguez takes the IBF strawweight title from Nkosinathi Joyi via TKO 7. With the win, Rodriguez moves up to #2 from #10 and Joyi falls to #3 from #2.
At flyweight, IBF champ, Moruti Mthalane moves up to #2 from #4 after a TKO 8 title defense over previously #8 ranked Ricardo Nuñez, who falls to #10.
