As we previously reported here on TheBoxingTribune.com, the IBF Welterweight clash between Devon Alexander(24-1, 13 KO’s) and Kell Brook had fell through once again due to Brook suffering an injury to his right foot.  Golden Boy Promotions, IBF officials were then on the hunt to find a replacement for Brook.  British welterweight Lee Purdy(20-3, 13 KO’s) has gotten the call to face Alexander and they’ll square off on the May 18th undercard of Peterson-Matthysse to be televised on Showtime.  The bout is scheduled for 12 rounds for the IBF Welterweight title.
