
After waiting years to finally win his first world title in his 30-fight career, Ishe Smith will defend his freshly-won IBF Jr. Middleweight title against the man looking to win his first major world title in Carlos Molina. The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds on Friday – July 19th live from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and to be aired on Showtime.
Smith(25-5, 11 KO’s), is a 34-year-old Las Vegas native who is coming off a 12-round majority decision win over Cornelius Bundrage earlier this February, to lift Bundrage’s IBF title. Meanwhile, Molina(21-5-2, 6 KO’s) is a 30-year-old Chicago resident by way of Mexico who is coming off consecutive wins over Damian Frias(UD10), and Cory Spinks(UD12), respectively.
