“The term “conspiracy theorist” is a label used by the establishment to dismiss the idea that powerful people might get together and actually plan anything.” -George Carlin

Conspiracies are perceived to be convoluted mind-numbing clustermucks of misinformation disseminated by paranoid aluminum-foil hat wearing kooks.

Skeptics like to say people create conspiracy theories to explain traumatic events beyond their control.

How else do you explain a promoter and a highly-respected boxing publication conspiring to cook up fictional records and rankings for a made-for-TV championship tournament?

A former heavyweight champion is attempting to recapture his title when he is viscously knocked out by a phantom punch. How do you explain that?

How else can you explain the sudden transformation of a flyweight champion into a welterweight dynamo?
