Manny Pacquiao, while out and about drawing publicity for his November 22 match with Chris Algieri in Macau, has apparently not taken his eye off the number one prize in the sport.
When asked about his virtual arch-rival, Floyd Mayweather, Pacquiao was uncharacteristically brash and direct:
“He’s all talk. Until now he has not yet agreed to fight me. Instead of blabbing, he should face me atop the ring,” Pacquiao told the AFP news service. “I’m tired of his alibis. If he really wants to fight me, he knows how to reach me. We can fight anytime, anywhere.”
To rub some added salt into Mayweather’s wounds, Pacquiao would go on to tear down Mayweather’s performance last Saturday night against Marcos Maidana.
“To me, Maidana won that fight. Mayweather’s face and lips were swelling compared to Maidana’s unblemished face.”
