Chantel Cordova walks away with a gift draw against Gloria Salas.

Salas of Riverside, CA wasn’t impressed with the hometown Cordova, taking the fight to her on the inside. Salas came to battle, pushing champion Cordova for the 8 full rounds.

At the end of the bout, hometown judging was the biggest factor in the fight.

AG Promoted (Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers) fighter, Damian “Sugar” Vasquez defeated Omar Soto of Puerto Rico by 8 round unanimous decision.

After round 4, hall of fame trainer, Miguel Diaz, turns to referee Stephan Blea, ” Hey referee, he didn’t come to fight, he’s running”. Vasquez dropped Soto with a right hook in round 5

Soto, the 36 fight veteran, proceeded to hold and hang on throughout the scheduled 8 rounder.

Vasquez did his part, trying to engage with an inactive foe. “Sugar” improves to 6-0

Vasquez trains in Las Vegas under the watchful eyes of Miguel Diaz and Richy Sandoval. He is also the younger brother of former World Champion, Israel Vasquez

He is now the youngest champion in the nation at 17

Both fights took place in Pueblo, Colorado on a Cordova Promotions card.
