Fujioka Tops Juarez, Rivas Beats Salazar: The Women’s Weekly Wrap Up

Naoko Fujioka (13-1, 6 KO’s) came up big this weekend, travelling to Naucalpan, Mexico and scoring an upset split decision over home fighter and WBC International super flyweight title holder Mariana Juarez (40-8-3, 17 KO’s). The vacant IBF welterweight title was up for grabs Saturday night. Croatian boxer Ivana Habazin (13-1, 5 KO's) and hometown fighter Sabrina Giuliani (12-2, 1 KO) squared off at the Hall Omnisport de la Prealle in Belgium, with Habazin managing to pull out a split 10 round decision.
