  • Super Flyweight/Junior Bantamweight: 115 lbs (52.2 kg) of fighting fury.

  • Featherweight: A breezy 126 lbs (57.2 kg).
  • Super Featherweight/Junior Lightweight: 130 lbs (59 kg)—starting to pack a punch.
  • Lightweight: 135 lbs (61.2 kg).
  • Super Lightweight/Junior Welterweight: 140 lbs (63.5 kg).
  • Welterweight: 147 lbs (66.7 kg)—the weight of a small adult human.
  • Super Welterweight/Junior Middleweight: 154 lbs (69.9 kg).
  • Middleweight: 160 lbs (72.6 kg).
  • Super Middleweight: 168 lbs (76.2 kg).
  • Light Heavyweight: 175 lbs (79.4 kg).
  • Cruiserweight: 200 lbs (90.7 kg), with a special “Bridgerweight” for those between 200 and 224 lbs (90.7 to 101.6 kg). Because why not make it more complicated?
  • Heavyweight: Over 200 lbs (Over 90.7 kg)—the big guns.

Amateur Boxing Classes—Men’s and Women’s:

  • Light Flyweight to Super Heavyweight: With varying weight limits up to 201 lbs (91 kg) for men and 189 lbs (86 kg) for women. Because apparently, amateurs like to keep things extra confusing.

MMA – UFC Style:

  • From Strawweight (for the lightest, at 115 lbs or 52.16 kg for women) to Heavyweight (up to 265 lbs or 120.2 kg for men only). Women in UFC, it seems, don’t go beyond Featherweight—does that seem fair?
