Ward Gains Outright Super Six Lead With Shutout Decision Over Green

The Fight:

Andre Ward (22-0, 13 KO) successfully defended his WBA super middleweight strap as he embarrassed Allan Green (29-2, 20 KO) in front of his home crowd in Oakland, winning by a shutout unanimous decision 120-108, 120-108, 120-108. Green was overmatched, and struggled to land anything of note against the impressive Ward, who qualifies for the semi final stage of the Super 6 Boxing Classic with his second win. In stage 3, Ward will face fellow Olympian, Andre Dirrell, while Green gets another title shot against Mikkel Kessler. The Boxing Tribune scored the fight also at 120-108 to Ward.
