In a lengthy hearing this morning, the Nevada State Athletic Commission eventually ruled that former world champion, Antonio Margarito, would have to be reinstated by the California commission before being considered for reinstatement in Nevada.
The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) suspended Margarito for using an illegal substance in his hand warps prior to his bout with Shane Mosley in January of 2009.
Since then, Margarito has only fought once, against Roberto Garcia in Mexico.
Margarito will likely face similar resistance to overturn the CSAC decision in other strong-commission states.
