Reigning WBA middleweight champ, Felix Sturm (34-2-1, 14 KOs), is set to make the ninth defense of his belt against Ronald Hearns (26-1, 20 KOs), son of Hall of Famer, Tommy “The Hitman” Hearns.
Hearns is 5-0 following his 2009 TKO 9 loss to Harry Joe Yorgey at jr. middleweight, but the five opponents in question have a combined record of 86-87-8 and none, other than veteran journeyman, Delray Raines, are known entities among hardcore fans.
Sturm is coming off a September title defense against Giovanni Lorenzo and fourteen months of inactivity prior to that.
The bout will be held at Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany.
