Undefeated featherweight prospect, Matt Remillard (23-0, 13 KOs), has signed a deal with promotional giant, Top Rank. Remillard, a resident of Hartford, Connecticut, has been an attraction on the Eastern club circuit, capturing several regional and minor titles along the way.
The addition of Remillard, who is ranked #20 in The Boxing Tribune featherweight rankings, gives Top Rank incredible leverage in the 126 lb. division, with Juan Manuel Lopez, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Miguel Angel Garcia, and Bernabe Concepcion all under their promotional banner.
The 24-year old Remillard was rumored to be facing Garcia in March, on the Gamboa-Jorge Solis HBO undercard, but whether the status of that bout has changed since the signing remains to be seen.
