Floyd Mayweather Jr., after unsuccessfully trying to postpone today’s court-ordered deposition in the Manny Pacquiao defamation suit against him, simply didn’t attend the scheduled hearing.
Manny Pacquiao has a pending lawsuit against Mayweather and his father, Floyd Sr., for comments the two made regarding Pacquiao and the use of performance enhancing drugs last year. The deposition would’ve been a chance for Pacquiao’s attorney, Daniel Petrocelli, to directly question Mayweather about the comments in question.
Mayweather, through his attorney, attempted to postpone the deposition until after his scheduled September 17th bout with Victor Ortiz.
The Las Vegas federal court could issue a contempt of court ruling and issue an order for apprehension.
