Looks like Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is doing his part to keep the proposed mega-fight between himself and Manny Pacquiao in line for May 5th.

Using twitter as his medium of choice, Mayweather delivered these clear and concise words to rival Pacquiao, who (depending on who you talk to) is rumored to be in negotiations with other fighters and/or is unable to fight until at least June because of a cut he received in his November fight with Juan Manuel Marquez:

@FloydMayweather: Pacquiao I’m calling you out let’s fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see.

@FloydMayweather: My Jail Sentence was pushed back because the date was locked in. Step up Punk.

Pacquiao is reportedly meeting with promoter Bob Arum this week to discuss his fight options.  It is widely reported that Pacquiao prefers to fight Mayweather next and will urge Arum to make the fight.

More as it develops…
