It was announced late yesterday that super featherweight contender, Eloy Perez, tested positive for cocaine following his February 25th fourth round TKO loss to Adrien Broner in St. Louis. As a result of the positive test, Perez will have his license revoked indefinitely pending a hearing with the Missouri State Commission.
Following the positive post-fight test, Perez’s promotional firm, The Garcia Boxing Management Team, has released the fighter from his contract and has severed all ties with the resident of Salinas, California.
