Vernon Forrest was a two-division world champ with title reigns at welterweight and junior middleweight. Sporting a 7-3 record in world title fights, the Atlanta, GA native is best known for his bouts with Shane Mosley, Ricardo Mayorga, Ike Quartey, and Sergio Mora. Forrest was murdered in 2009 at the age of 38 during a robbery attempt.
