RIOS: “I had to come out here and they were booing and I loved and I had to do what I had to do. This could have been the end of my career and I didn’t want that to happen and I didn’t want it to end like this. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy. he is a warrior and I had to take my time and be patient. I was disciplined in camp. I knew he could come back and hit me and I know he has power in both hands.

I just take my time and be patient and listen to my corner and listen to the instructions and the game plan we did in camp and I cam out victorious.

The uppercut is my favorite punch. I love my uppercut and I have one of the best uppercuts in the world and I threw it.

Showed knockdown…”It was an uppercut right? we were practicing those shots in the gym I was it was open and I threw it right there. we followed my game plan and you can see what I can do when I am at my best. I perform very well.

RIOS on FUTURE: My manager, Cameron Dunkin is one of the best in the world and he gets the best fights out there, so whatever he says to do I will do it. I am a fighter and I am a warrior and I will fight anybody.

TO ALVARADO: It was an honor to fight you (Alvarado). we are still best friends. He is my boy we are the same type person – we are warriors – and he will bounce back

ALVARADO: (In 1st) I was still getting comfortable and still getting in my zone. He hit me with an uppercut in my eye and I couldn’t see. my vision was not there so I decided to make the call. He hit me perfectly on my eye and I couldn’t see. I could have showed heart but. I’m not done yet at all. I am far from being at my best. I’ll be back. I guarantee to everyone in this place I’ll be back.

It was all in the preparation of my training. I didn’t train like I should have and that’s what I get. I didn’t give it all I got. That’s what I Get. I wasn’t as prepared as I should have been and I got what I should have got so it is what it is, whatever. I”ll get myself healthy again and I have my marriage to look forward to and my kids and I’ll get myself together and I’ll come back.”
