Rios Squashes Alvarado to Win Trilogy

1stBank Center, Broomfield, Colorado– Brandon Rios (33-2-1, 24 KOs) battered dropped, and made Mike Alvarado (34-4, 23 KOs) quit in front of his hometown crowd between rounds three and four to win their trilogy.

On the televised undercard, Mexican prospect Gilberto Ramirez (31-0, 24 KOs) won a unanimous ten round decision over Russia’s Maxim Vlasov (30-2, 15 KOs) by scores of 96-94, 97-93, and 97-93.
